Previously, ATC used bought-in tweeters (from Vifa and Seas, I think) and the consensus view is strongly in favour of the the new one, though I’m only familiar with the latest version, myself. The trick is to get the two working seamlessly, which isn’t easy. Initially I was looking at the Dynaudio S40 but after some investigation on the internet it appears that the SCM19 may have a more truthful sound and an all-round more balanced speaker. After 100 hours, they still do not sound as good as the non ribbons. The ATCs exhibit exceptionally low distortion and outstanding transient response. S Proac is very good if you go for their top end stuff. I suggest you go with Proac cause their voice is special, musical , like listening the music in the concert hall.
